what the heckie was that book 3 finale I’m in pieces. So here’s aftermath makorra back at air temple island. this one’s for alice since….I broke my promise and wrote this fic before the other one..I’m scUM.

“Can you take this to Korra?”

Mako looks down at a tray of food unlikely to be found at air temple island: seal jerky, chicken soup, apple slices covered in cinnamon sugar, a big salad of green veggies, and some smoothie he can’t identify. Pema goes out of her way to make Korra meals high in protein and calories to try and get some of her strength back, which means she tries her handle in cooking meat. It’s been awhile, and her first attempt at seal jerky is burned, but Tenzin steps in to help since he remembers just how Katara used to make it.

It’s a tray of good food, but he doubts Korra will eat much of it.

I saw someone fly backwards off a treadmill today and I was laughing so hard I fell off the crosstrainer which made the girl next to me laugh so hard that she slipped off hers and it was 7:30 in the morning and there were just 3 of us sitting on the floor of the gym crying with laughter and in varying degrees of pain

So for countless generations, the Air Nomads were the very epitome of non-violence to the point where they couldn’t effectively save themselves from genocide. Traditional airbending lacks any killing techniques or aggressive stances. The airbenders of Aang’s day were dedicated to peaceful…

"Don’t you dare, for one minute,
believe that my kindness makes me
anything but insurmountable.
I did not unzip my chest to every kind of hurt,
and stagger back, wounded and alive,

My problem with Optimus is that he’s never /presented/ as basically a sociopath who is more interested in protecting humans than the preservation or salvation of his own species. He’s supposed to be so cool because he makes one liners and shoots enemies at point blank range and…
on reading the relationship between Starscream and Megatron in Transformers Prime as a purposeful abuse narrative

WARNING: This essay is long. SUPER long. And it talks unflinchingly about abuse, obviously, both describing scenes of abuse and classic patterns of abusers and the abused. It also talks about psychological upset and death.

I’ve seen a lot of discussion and disagreement and argument—and sometimes really awful treatment of other fans—floating around Transformers fandom, and a MAJOR point of contention is Megatron and Starscream’s characters in Transformers Prime, both in general and the MegaStar ship for TFP specifically. Why people read them one way, why people get upset at people reading them another way, what people’s thoughts and reasoning are.

I’m approaching this from both a familiar angle and, I think, a fairly unique one. We’ve all heard “Megatron is abusive towards Starscream” before, but I’ve written up why I think that it’s not only blatant abuse, but also that the writers—most if not absolutely all of them—and the animators meant it to be so, that they purposefully wrote Starscream’s arc as an abuse narrative. Things work so well, fall together so perfectly, all the little details stand out, if viewed from that angle, and I find it so fascinating that I wanted to break it down and explain exactly why I think so—and not only think so, but even think that it’s done in a clear and nigh-brilliant way.

And I’ll start to do that under the cut.

So renegadeautobotmischief has been busily decoding the Cybertronian glyphs of Transformers Prime.

And in doing so – discovered something amazing.

Bumblebee’s Cybertronian name isn’t Bumblebee.

It’s just Bumble.

We know this isn’t a character limit…
